Construction supervision

What does the role of a construction supervisor include?

-Controlling correct work processes, checking for proper work materials and preventing shortcuts in execution. -Approving the completion of a stage before transferring payment to the contractor. -Controlling the contractor’s work to be carried out according to the technical specifications. -Providing professional solutions in execution during the work and if there are cheaper options for execution in order to save money. -Issuing a monthly report to the work client and providing reports on a weekly basis on relevant matters. -Being the “professional eyes” of the work client.

Milestones to check during the construction project:

  • The excavation phase and preparation of the area for construction.
  • Skeleton execution phase – reinforcement tests, height tests, climbing tests, concrete castings, leaving pipes in the casting, plumbing and electricity (if necessary).
  • The phase of sealing the exterior walls and roofs – skimming and preparing the surface before execution, proper application of the material, post-execution inspections, closing the soil fill after approval.
  • Plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, manual work – testing proper work processes against plans.
  • Proper and permanent drainage heights.
  • Infrastructure concrete work after approval from customers and architects and the green light for execution in Tekel.
  • Interior and exterior flooring work – checking the correctness of heights, slopes, diagonals, the correctness of the work, etc.
  • Exterior plastering work – checking for proper plastering materials, corners, and finishes suitable for the wet environment.
  • Healing performance tests.
  • Plasterwork – testing suitable materials for the interior of the house and wet rooms, such as “Aqua Panel” or equivalent.
  • Proper work inspection to prevent cracks in the “seams” of the connections.
  • Paint putty – checking for a clean finish without “waves” visible in night light or natural lighting.
  • Checking the integrity of the products and checking the installation of aluminum / interior doors / entrance doors / frames.
  • General frame inspections in the welding areas to see if there is zinc.
  • Development and outdoor area – inspection of execution according to plans, inspection of execution of retaining walls according to plans, proper stone cladding work and beautiful finishing, restoring the area to its original state and/or carrying out landscaping according to plan, irrigation systems, electrical systems in public areas.
  • Construction of access paths, parking, paving of access roads to units.
